Accommodations
Guesthouses
Accommodations feature privately owned guesthouses and hotels in small villages on the islands. Houses are chosen for their local character and convenient locations. All rooms have attached private bathrooms, AC, and internet access. Linens and towels are provided (no beach towels).
Camping
Campsites are registered campgrounds; facilities include indoor bathrooms and showers. AKT will provide two or three person tents, mats and pillows.
Getting Around
Guesthouses and campsites are chosen for their convenient locations. There are no cars on many of the smaller islands; they are connected to the mainland by regular ferry service. Bicycles are used for both touring and personal transport on the larger islands.
Food and Drink
The cuisine is Croatian Mediterranean and features fresh seafood, Dalmatian hams and cheeses, garden-grown fruits and vegetables, and superb Croatian beer and wine. Meals are long and relaxed. Breakfast is family style at your guesthouse or hotel. Lunch is either a sit-down restaurant meal or a picnic lunch while touring. Dinners are pre-arranged in private homes or restaurants chosen for their ambiance and fresh, high quality food – the perfect way to end an active day. Drinks are not included in the meal options.
